Following Crackle's advice, why not politely tap on the window and ask to use their cigarette lighter for a few moments. Then once you have reached the required pressure, issue a loud blast to show how angry you are.

Just shout at them - or do you sound like Officer Hooks?

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

I knew I could rely on you for a sensible suggestion TdlC!

I've got that sidewinder pump, corded mind and it's superb, really really good, small, light, compact and really gets the job done

suspect 80psi might be a problem, gets the pool nice and firm without struggling though

Get Domtyler to buy you an AirZound in the interests of research to see if your pump will work with it, then he'll know

I'm finding the same with mine, and its bloody irritating - wondering if its faulty. Am on my second air zound. Previous one lasted a few years, and lasted ages between needing to recharge the reservoir. Last year it started to discharge very quickly so bought a new one. New one is rubbish - only charged it 2 days ago to 100psi, and the sodding thing had no air in it when I went to sound it at a tit in his Golf who passed me with inches to spare on the way home this evening.

One of these would be ace, but not sure it'd work on a bike......

But it's not good enough!

I've got an AirZound, the problem is that once you have unleashed a good long blast or two at the first muppet you come across, it is more or less depleted.

I used to have a megahorn on my folder, but thats broke i think. It was loud though. But it wasnt an airhorn, it was the sound of a whistle, or n atempt to be.
If your going to put a compressor on, cant you use a cordless drills battery to power it. I wouldnt thing the compressor would need power all the time, so i would think it would be good. But then i am probably wrong.
You could always put a big air sack in a panier on the back of your bike and run some tubing to the front of the bike with a huge truck horn.

This might be an option....

There's a twin horn version as well. Would require some DIY to install - 12V supply etc, but not difficult.

Good suggestions so far, keep them coming.

There are lots of good horns on www.airhorns.co.uk but they are all 12v. Is there some kind of converter?

6v One on ebay.Just do a 6v Horn search or something like that.

100db apparently...I've got to fix one of them as it's out of action.Must be a broken wire.Going to do modifications for the switch box soon.Works great with peds and cars alike.I tend to keep my finger on the button when there are dodgy peds crossing at least they know im there as they don't see my Hi-Viz.

Got some wiring to do....(with the horn oooer)

Yeh i have one of those. I dont really think it is loud enough to get some people to notice, and the sound is not too good either. Its like a buzzer. It does last long though, but the button that goes on your bars is small, and would only just go on my folding bikes bars.
