You see so many gloves lost and abandoned on the floor at this time of year. It's so sad. These gloves probably give you a silent wave goodbye, a parting gesture as they fall behind you, never to see you again.

All the more reason to rescue them and do something with them.

Sandra, they'll be in the last place you look.

Hope you find them.

I have dealt with this by having multiple pairs of red gloves, black socks, etc.
Which doesn't explain why I currently have three red gloves, 11 black socks, 7 brown socks etc.

Eek! I'm not surprised, at that price (£60?)
I'm afraid I use Lidl work gloves, which have a long cuff, velcro fastening and slightly padded palms. When it's cold they get a pair of running gloves inside. The whole lot is machine washable and at about £10 all in I'm not bothered about damaging or losing them, although they appear to be completely indestructible.

They weren't quite that expensive, just short of £30 bought at work with staff discount, but that's a lot to me.
Mr6 had a look for them along the cycle path but no joy, I'm clinging to the idea that they're in the house .

Hope you find them.
Now if only I could think to look there first!

I lost a pair of spring/autumn gloves that I was fond of, while getting ready to go out for a cycle last autumn. Put them down, went to get summat I'd forgot, couldn't find them. However, in our house things have a habit of turning up in the most unexpected places, so I fully expect to find them again in about a year's time or so.

If your Sealskins are like mine they have velcro wrist straps - check they're not velcro'd to the inside of your jacket/sleeves. ^_^
Nope, not there.

I lost one of mine today - luckily retraced my steps back into the building to find some kind person had picked it up and left it on a table near the door. Phew (OK it was only an Aldi glove but it's going to be cold tomorrow morning!)

I kind of think if I'd lost one it would have found its way onto a fence post, but if somebody found a pair they'd be more "yay!!!"

I'd cleaned out several cupboards, rucksacks and both cars recently looking for my cycling sunglasses - all I could find was the case with the other three pairs of lenses. Discovered by chance on Sunday that Celinette #2 had borrowed them for a school art project, along with some of my other cycling gear that I hadn't seen for a while.

I'm very sad about it.
At first I thought they were lost in the house, which isn't so bad as they'd turn up eventually. But now I'm convinced I've dropped them outside and they will never be seen again:cry:
I've tried the "re-trace your steps" thing, but I have a mental block between seeing them last and wanting them today.
They were last seen shoved up the front of my jacket - my hands got warm and I took them off, but didn't have a pocket (or rather I didn't remember I had a pocket at the back of my jacket). I checked a couple of times that they were still there as I cycled along, but then I came home and I don't know if I checked again or just took my coat off.
I found my jacket, I had assumed I'd find the gloves with it.
I didn't.
Does anyone want to come round and look for them???

just buy another pair....simples

This is difficult. My moral code says that a pair of gloves have to be put on the nearest wall, but single gloves can be salvaged if they have been there for a couple of days; and any garment in the road which has been run over is fair game, even pairs of gloves.... I'm still using a pair of MTB gloves I found ten years ago, and a couple of Buffs.
Coins are different - I'm only allowed to pick those up if I immediately give them away to the nearest child or charity box.
