My friend went down to Brick Lane market a couple of weeks ago and bought me back a black Brooks saddle for £20, hardly used at all.

Praps the owner's knicked it back!

Yes, the MOST uncomfortable 1000 miles of my life were spent on a B17. Look upon it as a lucky escape and buy a Specialised Body Geometry saddle.

Have you tried the fridge, oven, kitchen cupboards? My B17 is twenty years old and is very, very comfortable. It only took a couple of weeks of regular riding to break it in.

Have you looked in panniers, rucksacks, random carrier bags at home?
