They are ordinary cables, nothing particularly special. Go by price.

"double-ended for Shimano / SRAM and Campagnolo systems" is a disadvantage, not a benefit. It means you've got to gut one nipple off, and a cut end is harder to thread than the end of a new single-ended inner cable, especially if you don't use good cutters.

Where can you buy any cable cut to the exact length required for a specific application?

Actually I'm wrong there,you cut them after threading, Sorry.

I've got them on my SRAM Force and can't fault them. A multitude of colours are available, you can fit them as a closed system and the linings are good for covering those exposed areas like under the top tube etc.
