I used to love him as Rockford. One of the best TV shows ever.

Very likeable actor - off the top of my head there was The Great Escape/Support Your Local Gunfighter/Maverick and of course The Rockford Files but I'm sure there were many more.

I loved that show. Still do. I've got the first five series on DVD (for some reason the 6th is available only in Region 1) and for a lunchtime treat, since I work from home, I often treat myself to an episode while I have my veggie wrap.

A brilliant actor. Much missed. Very sad to hear the news.
