Jan Janssen Bike on Pub Wall.

In a bar in Portugal this is hanging on the wall. Whether it is a bike he rode or I think he later built or put his name to bikes I don't know.

He started a bikebuilding business that still exists. That bike on the wall is a mid-range model from the late ‘70s or early-ish ‘80s, long after Janssen retired.

I did suggest that to the bar owner but a mixture of my basic Portuguese and his basic English the conversation was going nowhere 😟

At Portuguese beginners class surprisingly they never taught the Portuguese words for cycle related terminology 😀

Can I also add that photography is not something I can claim to be any good at!!

Janssen put his name on a lot of bikes of widely differing quality. Judging by the rear brake bridge, or rather plate, and the pump holders this is at the lower end.
