Starting out from Harpenden Train station at 9.30am, the route goes through Redbourn straight into the countryside to Markyate, over Dunstable Downs, and through the Bedfordshire villages of Totternhoe & Slapton. A few miles around Aylesbury Vale Brings us to Cublington and into Buckinghamshire. After 51 miles, a stop at PE Mead & Sons farm shop & tea room (a bit of a cyclists haven) rolls, jacket spuds, toasted sandwiches etc (as well as cake, and the cake is good!) Then we head back into Hertfordshire, up Ivinghoe Beacon and back through Little Gaddesden, Gaddesden Row and Redbourn to Harpenden. 71 miles in total. There are a couple of hills, but the views from the top are fantastic and worth the effort
Route here

The usual CC rules apply. No one gets dropped, regroup at junctions and top of hills etc.

Yikes, these rides are coming thick and fast right now.

Just about to put this in the diary and I notice it the final day of the Six Nations the day before, England V Wales. I have a feeling, that will render all use of all bodily functions the following day, quite conprehensibly useless..

However, I have still put it in the diary, just in case. Thanks.

I'll check my on call rota tomorrow. If I'm not on call I'll be there. I'll be riding up from London if anyone wants to come along.

Whats your average speed likely to be Jay? I ask as this will be my longest ride, but the perfect opportunity to start the increase in mileage but i would'nt want to hold anyone up.

Chris, I would expect it to be the same as last weekend. Perhaps a little bit faster to get round in a decent time.
