I really like most modern music (except 70s glam natch) but I just can't enjoy jazz. Pretentious claptrap

We once had a guy with the rather magnificent name of Munch Manship come and play some jazz at pub. I couldn't follow his music at all, but all the punters said that he was very good indeed.
