Loose fit from Next, the only ones I find comfortable on the thigh.

Gap's slim or straight jeans are relatively roomy in the thigh and narrow at the hem. I'm not suggesting Sir Chris would get in them, but they're a lot looser than many brands. They do sit lower on the waist than traditional, but not ridiculously so.

I'm assured by my fashion adviser (aka teenage daughter) that they're not inappropriate for a man of more mature years:smile:

I bought some Levi 501's and they're like 1970's flares! I prefer straight legs not baggy ones i must have about 6 pairs but i hardly wear them as i'd rather wear running leggings these days.

Can anyone remember the Carrera cycling gear of the early 90's? The shorts were made to look like denim shorts!

What about taking jeans that fit to a tailor and having the waist taken in?

I was quoted £30 a pair for waste taking in and a bit of work done to the seat, had one pair of Ralph Lauren's done, not bad job but didn't get the second pair done ,just treated my self to new
