Miserable weather threatening worse so no scenic detours for me tonight...straight home the short route, but decided to put the hammer down a bit...

Bad move.....

No footage I'm afraid, my old rechargeable batteries that I've been using in the cam have reached the end of their life after the last charge so you'll have to make do with dialogue..new batteries on tomorrow's shopping list

Hit this manhole cover turning into Young Street and the first miracle is that I held it, front wheel sliding out as it was, like some back-to-front speedway rider, had just stayed on my side of the centre lines and gained control just in time to grab the brakes and nearly lock everything up again as some idiotic thing, don't know who or what it was, the windows were so illegally heavily tinted, in a white van pulled straight out of Wickes car park.

A second longer to get the front wheel to behave and there would have been a faceplant into the side of a van

Not a SMIDSY with windows like that, might not have seen me but to have those tints makes it a SMID Give A F*** About You (or anyone else for that matter), though both parties have a lesson to learn from that I bet I'm the only one to take anything from it...though I was obviously going too fast for conditions, van still shouldn't have been pulling out.

I have footage....Incident at Bank with a taxi on way to work...Incident at Blackfriars homeward bound.....

Look on the bright side ST, that manhoe cover possibly saved your life. If it hadn't tried to spit you off, causing you to lose speed you could have ridden into the side of the van!

Glad your OK!

The taxi at Bank incident...it shows up that the woman actually looked as she opened the door to get out.I didn't see that as I approached...Otherwise I guess she may have just thrown it open..also I gave her a bit of verbal..Apologies I suppose.

At Blackfriars just as I was pulling away from the lights my left foot slipped and the spd went right into my cycle shoe becoming lodged there which was no fun on a fixie....Eventually I had to ride up the pavement to the wall for support and then remove my foot from the same....

Hope you are ok after your incident dude.
