Well, probobly did totally the wrong thing an bought a retro ebay jersey and the size guide they had kind off assured me I had made the correct size choice.
So..it arrived and its snug to say the least.
I am 5 ft 8-9 and im roughly 12 stone weight.
I bought a medium jersey but my pal who is same height and build as me is on an XL size(checked with him after Id bought mine!).
would we all agree id need either L or XL?
I bought ebay shorts by deko size L and they are perfect and actually seem great quality.
The jersey i bought....it just does not feel the best of quality tbh,no where near the standard of the shorts.

Is it a Chinese fake or a genuine product? The former they have very erratic sizing, erring on the small size on very variable quality or lack of

I feel your pain, I take anything from an XL to 4XL, depending on make. That's normal clothing. Cycle specific stuff, go guess, some times an XXL will be too big, other times.......

Oh...this is definetley a knock off raleigh team TI shirt for sure.
I recall when I cycled in the 80s,I was fortunate enough to work for the local bike shop owner as his mechanic and he was a specialist performance retailer and the jerseys I bought off him then were top quality products.
I will add,the deko shorts i bought are excellent though

Generally, UK/US ones are true to size, so I'd buy M or L (Milltag and Rapha come up smaller because they're aimed at racing snakes). Anything from continental Europe, and especially Italy, will be smaller still.

Knock off Cycling kit?
Not cycling stuff. Just ordinary T shirts, shirts and some jerseys. Cycling stuff as somebody else has pointed out only fits the racing snakes. I am not really fat but even 3 or 4XL stuff is too small for me in cycling gear.

Depends what and which brands surely? Some are sensibly even generously sized

Not tried anything recently I must admit but when I cycled with our club they bought Rapha jerseys and nothing would fit. The only cycling gear I buy now are jackets and shoes. I have enough of everything else to see me out. A trike which I now use has slightly different needs in clothing.

I also bought a retro (copy) jersey from eBay. I’m usually XL and the sizing guide said I needed 2xl. I look like I’ve been shrink wrapped in it. I reckon it must be a Medium. OP mention Deko shorts being decent - I’ve been trying Didoo shorts and jerseys for a few months and really can’t fault them. Decent quality and great price
