Jimmy Carr has issued an apology for legal tax dodging,Cameron has attacked him for this when its come to light Camerons father has done the same over the years too.Should Carr apologise?Obviously Carrs been singled out but they'll all be at it and to be honest If I was making mad money like Carr and someone said I could save money legally I probably would too.Thoughts

I'm on Carr's side. He hired a good accountant, did nothing illegal, and more over HMRC were fully aware of his arrangements. It is wrong for the PM to wade in on this one, his family have taken advantage of the tax system over the years, and £200M isn't that much in the scheme of things - just quietly close the loophole and worry where the billions are going Cameron.

I don't like tax dodging, legal or not. We are a sociaty and for socailism to grow we need people to be taxed in proportion to their income. If we got the tax from all the rich people that dodge do you think we would be needing to make as many cuts as we currently are.

I think Jimmy Carr should launch some kind of breach of privacy case against DC. The politicians are really p'ing me off at the moment. All they are doing is inventing stories (I mean is the Jimmy Carr one really important?) to divert attention away from themselves.

Take a look at the Drs strike (which isn't actually a strike, they were forced to use the word by employment law brought in by the Tories). Ministers have been rolled out to say just how wrong it is that people who are paid so much should object to having their T&Cs changed and how they should count themselves lucky that they have such a generous pension. No mention is made of the most generous pension scheme in the public sector which is that which the MPs receive.

They will continue to do anything they can to divert us away from noticing what they are up to.

Such a pathetically obvious attempt at populist smokescreening says much about how little respect our beloved PM has for the intelligence of the electorate, and also about how sorely they miss the late Andy Coulson. When your PR is as inept as this, the wheels really are starting to come off.

It doesnt sit right with me but at the end of the day he didn't break the law. I'm betting if more people had known about it they would have used it as well. It's a loophole that needs to be closed, hopefully fairly quickly.

I don't have a problem with tax planning. BUT Jimmy Carr has been making a living for the last 3 or 4 years by ripping the bankers to shreds. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones Jimmy.
