Looks like i will be coming off day/night shift and onto 6-2/ 2-10 in april as i was the only one to volunteer to transfer into "pilot" where new processes are designed for the making of new models of the cars we make (Toyota).
This means i would lose 3 % of my shift allowance but i reckon i will not notice it that much after tax etc.
On the plus side i will not be working nights and that means my body clock will not be ar*e up at the weekend and i should get more free time where i feel like doing something instead of vegging.
I might look at the CTC or the local Mercian Cycle club to go for a Sunday ride
