Keep a close eye on the websites of any organisation you might like to work with. Bear in mind the cost of a job advert in local papers, and how hundreds of people apply for any job going. I am finding that jobs are not necessarily put in the newspapers. I recently found one I would like, not in the paper, but on the relevant website.
I could easily have missed it. In fact, I would have missed the closing date, if I had to phone them and ask them to post a form to me. Fortunately it is a downloadable form, which gives me more time.
On a similar vein. Form filling on-line. Like a lot of tasks it may seem daunting at first, but gets easier with practice. I have had to re-jig what I wanted to say, as sometimes it will not all fit in the available number of character spaces. Now I find it much easier to do forms on line, as there is no risk of messy mistakes.
