Does replacing these make much of a difference to your drive train? I have a set showing a lot of wear after 9000km. I service them quite regularly. One runs freely. The other smoothly but with a tiny bit of resistance.

I quite fancy the Hope 11 tooth for my 10 speed Shimano 105 but £30 seems excessive.

What do you think?

Bit of bling ? Can't fault the Tacx ones for bomb proofness.

I was fingering stock in my LBS and picked up a pair of alloy jockey wheels priced at £40. I must have gasped or something because the shop owner glanced over and said: "You can have those for twenty quid if you want" so I took them away and I'm quite pleased with them.

I feel the money would be better spent on an alignment tool.

In over 50 years of cycling I have never replaced a set of jockey wheels, I have straightened dozens of more rear mech hangers.

Thank you. So if I went for a new set of j/wheels for a third of the price (The wheels look like shark teeth) I could think about an alignment tool? What would you recommend purchasing? I know how to do it, but I’ve never owned my own.
