Such a talent, and a household name in the 1970's! I'll never forget Jackie Charlton kept calling him Joan Cruft during the 1974 world cup,

Classic from the Graun today: the fella on the ball in orange isn't Cruijff.

I think Cruijff was always no. 14 and whilst the Holland team was sponsored by Adidas at the time, hence the three stripes on the jersey, Cruijff had his own deal with Puma so wore jerseys with two stripes.

Ha ha, that's just so typical. I mean, it doesn't even look like Cruyff, if you look more than once.

That's worse than ITV putting the pic of Ainsley Harriott up in a report on Lenny Henry.

Shocking, what's happened to that paper in recent years.

No wonder he scored, with that goalkeeper practising his crown green bowling technique.

I thought he was trying to put him off by pretending to be a Messerschmitt.

Why would an Irishman care.

Ah a paddy that can swim ;) Fishguard right ?

Again not exactly covering yourself in glory tho . 94 was fun watching the English desperately trying to find Irish heritage after England failed to qualify. " my great gran once drank Guiness in a pub run by a Irish bloke ". Seemed to be the standard ....

The Welsh scare me at moment as they have qualified for European champs 2016 but only by default after form fell off.

78 was first World Cup I remember.
