Thinking of doing,no not thinking...I am going to cycle Lands End to John O'Groats,
Any tips or advice?
As this will be my first long distance trip...

The first thing to do is visit the Lands End to John o'Groats (LEJOG) forum on this board and read all of the messages.

Then visit the equivalent forum on the CTC web site and read all of the messages.

The google for LEJOG and JOGLE journals and read them all.

Make a list of the questions that remain unanswered and come back and ask both of them.

Alternatively, just take a train to Penzance and once you see the hills around there you will want to get as far away from them as soon as possible.

As this will be my first long distance trip...

Start with a weekend trip somewhere close to home, out am Saturday, back PM Sunday. See what gear you took and what gear you actually used.

Some shorter tours are certainly in order. They will identify areas that you need to attend to like taking too much gear....
