Well after a frustrating session at my local bike shop and an even more annoying one at Evans, I passed the Giant Store next door my sisters house in Liverpool, and fell in love with a black Defy 3! The guy was very helpful and useful, and we did all the sizing etc on the turbo trainer. Can't wait!!

Getting the chainset upgraded to Tiagra as part of the order.

Giant make a lovely bike - good value too; they don't seem to adopt the poor component value for your money policy of eg Specialised. My TCX1:

yeah its the black version 2013. to be honest its not the best deal for the money spec wise by any stretch but the bike fitted and i liked the ride, and the folks in store were great. good service goes a loooong way!

probably fit my fulcrum wheels on straight away, this does mean ill have a spare wheelset lying around for training!

I think it is, LBS said there wasn't much difference the 2011 Roam 2,

I enjoy it more since I got the road bike to be honest. Upgraded the tyres to marathon plus to make it quicker and so I didn't have to mess about with punctures.
