Seriously? Everyone still watches the same TV program? Am I an emissary from the 21st century? Or 22nd, as we seem well into this one without acknowledging that broadcast TV is over.

Yes.

Yes.

Maybe?

I don't think it is, there are a lot of programmes that folk catch as broadcast to discuss with friends.

As for Jools, I've discovered a few gems through his show over the years but never bothered with the Hootenanny thing.

It did seem like a who's who of about 30 years ago (or 40 in Roy Woods' case) with some real oldies - Chaka Khan, ABC. ABC might not look the same as they once did, but they still sound good. I usually like Imelda May but the choice of song was wrong for her, I felt. I enjoyed the show but it wasn't as good as in previous years.
Yep, Martin Fry's voice sounded just as good as it did.

Yeah we know you don't watch TV, you seem to have mentioned it once or twice already

I enjoyed the show, as I do every year. Ruby Turner is great, love Rag 'n' Bone Man, Seasick Steve, Gregory Porter.

Oh...and John Cooper Clark with Hugh Cornwell...amazing

Yep we watched Jools as well. Once it hit midnight I switched over to the fireworks then switched back after. I enjoyed Seasick Steve

I once watched Jools Holland.
Me too, and I paid for the privilege. He was excellent, but then he was playing with another couple of guys - Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford. Cool for Cats. Ingliston Rock Festival, Edinburgh, 1979.

I rarely watch Jools because my wife doesn't like televised music. Don't particularly like his show either, but will watch if there's a specific act that I want to catch.

Last night? I went to bed at 11pm as I'm working today

Exactly what we did. It was good fun trying to spot an "older" man without dyed hair on the Jools show, I think there was just Seasick Steve & his drummer. ^_^ It's not a good look, John Cooper Clarke looks like he has hours to live.

I watched Jools up to 1am, it was a great show imho!.

No denying the man's got some serious skill on the piano!.

Some good acts that I've not seen before, I was convinced Rag 'n Bone Man was Gregory Porter from the radio plays but was proven wrong..

The lass in clogs with Seasick Steve earned her wages, must have been knackered after that!.
