Just so you all know...it's lovely and warm and SUNNY in Manchester ! nah...na...na...nah...nah

I was rather glad of the rain today. There has been little rain in the SE for nearly a month now and todays rain will have done the garden good and topped up the water butt.

The grass is looking really brown; we were overdue some rain!

I enjoyed the rain on my way back, it made a nice change, and it was warm-ish and proper heavy rain. It feels nice for some reason. I'm not organised, so I just had the long-sleeved t-shirt I keep at work in case I need it.

It's not so nice on busy roads, or in drizzle. And it would be awful in the morning to have wet clothes when I got to work, but if it's raining in the morning I can take a coat / change of clothes / waterproofs / whatever.

It's just started chucking it down again!

Amazingly, I didn't get wet travelling either way yesterday: I rode to work in a gap in the rain, and it had mostly stopped by the time I left. A few spots is all I had each way.

But the p* fairy had left me a nice slowly deflating rear tyre so I did have that to contend before I left to go home ..

I am new to commuting and today will be my first ride home in the rain. I have NO weatherproof clothing (as I am waiting for Thursday -Aldi).

I am in London and my commute is 15 miles. Would people recommend cycling with just a t-shirt and shorts or should I just leave it today?

So...did you make it in one big soggy piece?
