Jubilee flyover

I've been looking forward to the annual Queen's flypast for weeks so looked it up only to find out it happened mid-May.

The formations come low right over my house.

Then someone tells me there might be another flyover today? Anyone know for sure?

and it was great. watched from the loft windows directly under the flightpath. came over all unneccesary at the sound of the Hurricane , Lanc and the Spit engines.

We pootled off on the bikes and ended up on the pavement at the gate into Hyde Park just by Hyde Park Corner. We waited for half an hour before the planes came over. I love the sound of those Lancaster engines. The red arrows were pretty good too. I was surprised that they came over nearly overhead rather than further south. It was all over in seconds but we were both glad to have gone. Great atmosphere in the crowd.

Vulcan could be out of action until Early July ( Fairford air tattoo )following the blade damage to the 2 port engines on 28th May.

I wuz blessed today...a personal flypast of 5 spits and hurricanes, a lancaster and a dakota, they flew right past my factory at Chatteris
Chatteris ?....its only claim to fame is Dave Boy Green, the fenland tiger. Otherwise...its pikeys and carrot crunchers ....only joking.
