The saving comes from the salary sacrifice - you're saving 20% or 40% of the cost of the bike (ish, as there's the final payment too) as the cost comes out of your wages before tax is calculated.

Personally I'm not sure I'd do cyclescheme.co.uk's scheme again as I got stung pretty hard for switching jobs inside the 12 months. From what I can see current work's Evans deal is better on that score.

I've finally been given the figure to take me through the next 3 years: £56.12. Paid it today which means (to all intents and purposes) the Bianchi is mine all mine. At least it will be in 36 months. That gives me some time to save up and decide whether my next bike, a roadie this time, will be acquired with cash, cash and interest free or the Cyclescheme.
