My first commute this morning after coming off on black ice and damaging my knee/elbow two weeks ago.
Gosh what a nightmare - that rain was fr-fr-freezing with a nasty east head wind.
Then I get a visit from the p------e fairy a mile from work.
When I get to work I find dog 5h1t on my spds.
Ah, such is life… …moan over.

and with the swings and roundabouts in full operation, I'm sure you'll be able to look back on this morning and smile. one day in mid june while you are whistling down a country lane with a lovely warm tailwind.

Ah, how I yearn for the early summer. Where the coldness of winter is still a fresh memory and the warmth of the still evening air makes you with you lived just a few more miles away... round that next bend, past the next hill, in the next village.

I went out yesterday- didn't even have to. My thoughts being- I ride to work in these sort of conditions so why not get some miles in while I'm off work, only rain, no chance of ice.

It was horrible. Normally in the winter rain means warmer. Wind was really cold. Didn't go much more than a couple of miles.

If I had a pound for every time I stepped in dog shoot wearing cycling shoes i'd have three pound by now.

My first commute in for two weeks too, mainly due to weather and leave. Freezing rain and a headwind....but a big smile because I was on my bike.....Endorphin levels raised.....
