This seems like a good idea.

What do you have to say fossy?

Why not !

I remember a couple of years ago, left Manchester centre and pulled up behind another lad just near the Ferrari garage (Stratstone) on the A34

I was on my then slicked up MTB - looked at his bike and it was a similarly 'kitted out' MTB. He pulled away from the lights and was quick. We ended up TT'ing pulling close to 30 mph all the way to Levenshulme. The Olympics were on, and some guy near the hospital's shouted 'wahey, Olympics" as we flew past.

Quite often end up sharing the pace with one lad on a Trek road bike coming down into Manchester.

Anyway I'm only trying to lighten the mood.

You are a right miserable bunch in commuting... :becool:

'this car cut me up', 'oh look who RLJ'ed' - boring !

Chill have some fun, all the better when colleagues realise how fast a bike can go. I've out run another colleague in a car between the same two sites before (out of rush hour)..... just proving bikes are quickest !

Did you have to RLJ or cut any cars up to do it?!?!

A while back I struck a deal with a colleage. We had to go to a site about 5 miles away for a survey, there was no issue with me wearing cycling gear or being covereing in sweat (I ended up riding my bike round the deserted office for a laugh, yes - I wrote a risk assessment for it). The route was mainly on NSL roads and was on average slightly down hill.

My colleage was driving and picking up lunch from the drive-through which was on route.
I bet my colleage that if we left our desks at the same time, the last one at site would pay for lunch.

He was so confident that he refused to give me the keys to the building.

He had to collect some gear and I had to get changed, we ended up leaving the car park side by side.

It took him a couple of minutes to calm down when he found me sitting by the door when he steamed into the car park.

I had planned of mounting some hydrogen and oxygen tanks on my bike
