... a Trek Madone. My dad's replacing it with a Dawes Galaxy which is more suited to hs advancing years and his need for a utility bike around the Yorkshire town where he lives. He's just rung me up out of the blue and said "do you want my Trek?" Er, yes please, Dad.

Here and there. Purchase of an elderly Land Rover necessitated a move to the Series 2 Land Rover forum, then I sort of drifted away to various guitar forums, a 2cv forum and Trucknet. The recent interaction between Trucknet and CC made me nostalgic, so I came back.

Oops. I should add, I had a Galaxy for years and I loved it ... only sold it to buy Land Rover bits. Mind you, I'm 42 and have a beard, so fit right into the Galaxy demographic. And I was thinking more of the fact that the Galaxy is geared rather lower than his (my) Madone.
