just bought this to get me going, anyone who has text me their bikes they will considered and one will be bought sooner or later.
Couldn't turn it down it was only £70, so I'm out and about for a bit shortly.

My mate has a TdF that's been going strong for years. You've got a bargain there, enjoy!

Snap I got myself one from eBay for the same price best thing I have ever done and loving it. Roll on the long summer evenings where I can really start putting the miles in.

I have decided to master the skills on this and build my fitness so that when I can afford a better bike I will be astonished by the difference.

Definitely the best way to get into cycling if you are on a budget like I am.

Yes it may not be the best bike in the world in fact it isn't really a good budget bike if I am being honest but for learning and getting fit it's perfect and I love every minute of being on the saddle.

Just ride it, I ride a Viking Torino same sort of class, done 20,000 miles since July 2012 (last year only about 3,000) 2013 9,000+ miles, 2014 6,000+ miles. Mind you the only original thing left is the frame/forks, headset (needs changing now though) and mudguards. Its gone from a 7 sp triple to 8,9 and finally a 10sp triple, but many miles were on 7,8 and 9sp 14,000 or so, so don't be put off.

The tdf is a cracking bike. I started on one about three years ago, loved it.... It got me hooked!
I then sold it to someone who wanted it to do a triathlon on, he was well pleased with it
