Been thinking about it for a while, at weekends we often end up having a 'discussion' about what to do as a family... And for £8 a month we can visit any of their properties.. Compare that to a theme park pass......and its got to be a bargain.

Looking forward to using it loads and I'm helping a charity preserve Britain's history win\win

We've got Calke abbey, Shugborough hall, Sudbury hall and Kedleston hall all within half an hour so can really get the use of it and each one would probably cost over £25 for a family so just those 4 visited once each will pay for membership

Those are all one's we have enjoyed often, we have Gumby Hall ( not much bgger than my old house} Belton House (good one that) Tattershall Castle ( 60 minutes and finished) Southwell Workhouse, take the talking thingy as 20 empty rooms takes up a lot of imagination.

We (the Mrs and I) were members for a while. We used it loads when we had our holidays, but when we moved up here, having little (house wise) nearby and a change in financial priorities (bigger mortgage) meant we let it go. We saw some fab places though. Well worth the money if you use it enough, though I know of a few ex-employees around these parts that are far from positive in their opinion of the NT.

I've already spotted the Birmingham back to backs I'd like to visit... About 40 minutes away so will do the local houses then work outwards and hopefully use it on our holidays as well.

I reckon we will use it at least once or twice a month

I've been a member since I was about 17. It's nothing to do with value, and everything to do with heritage.
We likewise tell ourselves we pay a subscription to support a cause we believe in. Then we spend hours scrutinising the various membership packages on offer to find the best deal for the particular combinations of ages of our children that particular year.

Can any members on here tell me how to use the free parking at the pay carpark sites (rather than houses where I assume it's free because you pay to go in) as I haven't got anything, bar a printed temporary card
