Thought I would put a few pics on of my bike on here. Not the best but for £250 3/4 years ago, it was a good christmas present.

Like that. Cool pic on the seatpost, is that the maker's pic ?

Love those spoke reflectors; I got some from Aldi a couple of years back but chucked them out when I was going through a minimalist phase.

Anyway, cool bike.

I think it is just the bikes model picture. If you look on the front picture, then you can see it on the handlebar stem.

I used to have it higher but a friendly cyclist said that my hips were moving about too much, so I decided to lower it.

My arms arent that long, I am just comfortable in that position.

That sounds more like a seat height issue than a handlebar height.

The only adjustments I can make to the handle bars are; to lower them (removing stem rings), and adjusting the angle of them.

If your hips are moving about too much then that is generally because your saddle is too high and not because of the position of your bars.

Oh yes sorry Gaz, should have cleared that up.

I have never really needed to make adjustments to the handlebars (apart from knocking them out of place by falling off). When I to make adjustments to my bike, I try to keep them few and far beyond, so that I can settle into one position.

When I get back onto the turbo trainer in the winter, I might have to lower the seat as the TT naturally lifts the rear of the bike off the ground (obvious if you think about it). I dont have a front wheel block.
