I bet he saw you but simply couldn't be bothered to stop.
Seems to happen a lot round here - far too much effort for some drivers to have to depress the clutch, and come to a halt.
+1 for great braking and staying upright - somehow!

Notice the van driver in the slow mow replays and you'll see he's turning with one hand, that makes me suspect he might have been texting and looking at the phone at the same time ..dangerous all the same

id def have hit the van ,impressive stopping ,did u have hands on drops or on hoods or what ,i normally ride on hoods and tbh from that position i cant really apply max pressure to the levers ,it is enough to stop the bike but obv not as fast as full pressure that i can apply from the drops,its something iv thought about.
so far iv not had a real "slam into the back of a bus thing "and iv been able to stop/avoid any potential disasters ,however i think (prob like most )id have hit that van
