Maybe she won't notice...over 2 months after changing my helmet from white/silver to black/red the comment was along the lines of 'why don't you get that new helmet you were looking for?' Had to confess that I already had.

As I have posted elsewhere, I went for it but haven't managed to sell the wife to pay for it .

Had a bike fit. Needed a new seatpost - 400mm. Bought on myself as Rose didn't have the replacement in stock and I wasn't prepared to wait.

First rides (commutes) were impressive. Comfortable (and that was before the fit) and much quicker that the old bike. I think that was psychological - had to ride faster to justify getting the new bike.

One or two issues over delivery, though.
