Carbon frames are obviously drilled after formation for certain braze-on's and little fiddly things for which tooling a mold would be too costly and just darned messy really. So given that the drilling causes no obvious structural impediment to the overall structure would it be possible to drill a frame so that it would be possible to do internal cable routing?

Ruddy heck, I wouldn't chance it.

Drilling DOES weaken the structure, but as Steve points out these areas may be pre-reinforced. Also, some points of a frame are subject to more concentrated stresses than others. Fractures and breaks occur at stress concentrations around imperfections such as holes.

I think you would be mad to try it.

I agree my frame is naked carbon and where there is drilled holes and stress points its thicker ,result looks black as its up tp 2 times as thick
