Just picked up this Specialized HardRock Comp

Just picked up this HardRock Comp for £67. I'm thinking of making it into a restoration/upgrade project and using it as my town bike replacing my Trek 4100. Does anyone have any ideas what year this model is?

My guesstimate would be 1999.
The Bomber fork may not be original to the bike, more likely would have been Rock Shox Jett.

Nice buy for that money. Given the STX derailleur I'd guess around early 2000's.

STX RC was 1994 to 1996 only, and the dark chome version (which my Alpinestars has) was 1995-6.

Thanks for the info. Unsure at the moment whether to keep it and replace my trek 4100, or put the fork on my Trek....
