Just ridden the dream bike. Anybody got £7000 to spare?

And at least it's not that horrid black colour
Since the other pedants on the forum seem to be asleep, I will volunteer ... black is not a colour, it is the absence of colour - it is what you get when all the coloured light is absorbed.

Mind you, it could be argued that every natural black object is really just a very dark grey - If it really absorbed all the light then you would just see a dark gap in the background (see World's blackest material).

The analytical chemist takes a solution and they run it through their instruments, and they say it absorbs at such and such a wavelength and it transmits at such and such a wavelength, and there's a peak in the spectrum here and here and here and so forth. The organic chemist looks at a solution and says "oh, it's red!"
As told to me by an (organic) chemistry lecturer.

Although in this case @ColinJ you are correct because the black bike is actually undressed carbon fibre, hence the weight saving on the paint.

Last Sunday GtiJunior and I went to the Olympic road track and test-rode a handful of top bikes courtesy of Cyclist magazine. We spent a chilly but happy morning riding various models from Specialized, Cannondale, Scott, Pinarello and several others. Then we took out a Bianchi Specialissima and..... Oh My Gawd! After you leave the pits area there's a short climb so you need to put in an affort and in the Bianchi there was an instant flash of instinctive realisation that this is something special. Where the Dogma felt a bit bouncy and skittish even on smooth tarmac, the Bianchi felt superb. The reviews say they use a special additive to the carbon to make it smooth-riding and I can tell you that it works, it is a stunning bike and ridiculously light and it rides like a dream. If only we had been able to test under real-world conditions with some potholes and worn-out top dressing.

I've always fancied a proper hooligan bike and the Specialissima is that bike. So now the question is: how to raise the £7000 or so to buy one?

If you saw this guy it was me ;-) Thought the bianchi's though were let down by their wheels and by not having Campagnolo. As ugly as it is (IMO anyway), the Venge was a clear 2-3mph faster for the same effort but bear in mind the track profile complemented it. My own favourite was the Storck Aerfast which was only 1mph slower than the Venge in my highly unscientific test ;-)

I had a silly grin drooling session in Rutland Cycles at the new Orton store..

i would have a 7k bike in a flash now if i could..there just sheer works of Art that you can use..
they had a trek that needed a fair bit of weight adding for competition..di2etc what a bike that was..
Mind you i could stare at exotic motorcycles all day too..MV Augusta Ducati etc..
Biachi seem to get me all excited..must be the Italian flare..tho thers so many great bikes from the Boot of Europe

While it seems prohibitive to own one, how feasible would it be to co-own one?

Bikes are underutilized and set unused for most of the day. If one could find 1,2,3 - 7 co-owners then price would be less of an issue. Scheduling could be an issue. And adjusting the bike from person to person could be an issue. Yet, one could have the pleasure of being on one of the best bikes around. It could be like taking a mini-vacation.

Is this too much like an open-relationship though and just goes against the grain?
