Hi Guys, gonna tell ya because, well, I'm telling everyone lol
Been cycling a few years (am a big lad 18.5 stone), and there's a local hill called the Glyn, some lovely cycling but I've always been terrified of it (tried it on my old hybrid a few years ago and not a chance!)
I've increased rides by 30 miles in order to avoid it. Have cycled llangynidr mountain, caerphilly mountain and even the tumble, but the Glyn has always been my cycling boogey man.
Today when I got down the other side I decided I needed to have a go (even after 6 weeks off the bike) to see how far I could get, and try and get further next time.
Well you can guess by the title I made it. Probably could have walked faster mind, but I made it!
If anyone is interested, the main section of the climb is only 0.9 miles, averages at 11% (with sections in the late to high 20's) and a total elevation of close to 600 feet
