Great player, Regis.

I always remember this goal by the late Justin Fashanu for Norwich vs Liverpool (it was always played on the title sequence of Match of The Day). Superb goal.

Cyrille Regis was a great player. I remember seeing him play and score for West Brom, Coventry and Aston Villa.
One of the players who I would have liked to have seen at Chelsea

Sky are brilliant at bringing out ex-footballers who were put out to grass years ago.

I just wonder what expertise he has suddenly acquired to enable his to start commenting on the game he left behind years ago?

Mind you, its probably done wonders for his future career. We'll probably see him on "I'm a Celebrity get me out of here" next !!!!!

Cyrille Regis MBE was one of the first players to suffer racial abuse.

I commend him on work to stamp out racism in the game of football.

If I was to write down the words to the song that was sung, I would be hauled up.

Laurie Cunnigham, Brendan Batson, Cyrill Regis, Bryan Robson.

Good team that WBA in the 70s.

Cunnigham went to Barcelona, did he not.

I'm off to see Birmingham v Chelsea this weekend. Don't support either team, but hope there's plenty of goals.

But not as good as the mid-60s team of Jeff Astle and the great Tony Brown. One of our teachers was their third team goalkeeper/scout and I used to see them regularly.
