I thought about it aswell. I bought this month's mag for the buff, but find it a bit of a struggle to read.
Not sure who the readership is for these mags. The winter clothing test for instance; De Marchi Contour Plus Ultra tights at £184.99 "Excellent cold weather protection and first class build - but quite pricey".

I've just paid four quid to get a cheap buff, i'm not likely to shell out £185 for a pair of posh Ron Hills.

Just going of topic a little, but I saw that as well, and something is confusing me here?

I bought a brand new pair of said bottoms just two years ago and the going price then was around £80 a pair. So how come all of a sudden they have jumped up this much???

In saying that, they are really, really good when the temperature drops below 4 or 5 degrees, 100% recommended. But if the day starts cold and then warms up then you'll regret wearing them as you will roast!

I managed to convince wife to let me sub as a x mas prezzie .

Be warned they said the jacket is not guaranteed even if you pay the price, can take a month to come and may even be offered an alternative if they have run out or you may not get anything !!!

I risked it but we will see

I saw that the other month - basically it's an old copy of Cycling Plus with a different cover, which is what Cycling Plus is anyway. Wouldn't bother!

I used to get C+ regularly when I had colleagues who used to frequently visit the UK but I've not been able to get one for a long time. I've never subscribed because there was always complaints that delivery of the magazine was very often a lottery. I must admit it was my favorite cycling mag at one time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I prefer it to cycling weeklys snobbery, as it takes in mostly all asspects of cycling rather than the usual you must train in zone 1.56733 for 22.8seconds and ride the most expensive bike around!!

I subscribed to another Future publication a few years ago during a promotional free gift, and they sent me a 'replacement' item. I wrote to them noting by disappointment and that I would consider cancelling the subscription. They sent the original offer item by return and apologised and told me to keep the replacement item as well

well i got a copy of this new mag today, it's called CYCLING ACTIVE.

it does cover the same stuff as C+, in fact the content is almost identical BUT it has a very different style and feel to it.

im not sure that i'll by both regularly, but anyone who is slightly fed up with C+ should definitely take a look ;)

Any magazine becomes repetitive after a while. There's only so much you can say about pedalling a bike!
The reviews of £500 bikes piss off one lot and the £2000 ones the other lot. It was when they reviewed the Campagnolo Gran Fondo for the third time that I lost patience and unsubscribed.
I'd rather but the jacket and save the subscription cost!
