Just what are these for ?

I have a Giant Sedona 2008 and have always wondered just what these 2 bosses pictured are for, manual is no help bit generic. If they faced outwards could understand but forwards ?

Has the frame got disc tabs?

No disc tabs front or back, I thought panniers but why point em that way ?

Sticking out sideways would have meant easy bolt on, now, if I decide to use em for that, I have to find a bracket that will convert to side mount, or buy a Giant rack for a million pounds :-(

May have to troll a few miles to nearest Giant dealer, see what they say.

They are for the wheel locks that are manly found in Holland called a Horse shoe lock
