As a man type blokey fella thing.... I can see the attraction with Clooney, I also quite like 'him' or at least how he is portrayed in interviews etc, just does not seem to take himself too seriously.

I gained a new respect for him after O Brother Where Art Thou, and after his appearance on Desert Island Discs. He chose William Shatner singing 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'... as an incentive to build a raft and get the f**k off the island .

He seems to be a fairly well-grounded sort of guy, where the fame thing hasn't gone to his head and have him thinking he's some kind of demi-god. He definitely doesn't come across as taking acting too seriously and seems to use his fame in positive ways, without coming over all sanctimonious. And he is a good actor too. Of course he may be a spectacularly brilliant actor and covering up private sh**dom remarkably well. Or not, as the case may be.
