Just when you thought you had seen it all

Absolutely gobsmacked on my way to work this morning. (I was in the car 'cos my back's not quite right yet!)


Coming out of the next village to ours there's a bit of a long drag up a reasonable incline, and as I approached I saw a bike complete with trailer, one of those ones with red canvas sides and a red flag. Interesting I thought, as I approached from behind. Now I don't know what I was expecting to see towing the trailer, but as I overtook I saw that the bike was in fact a bright red full sus appollo. The rider was just in the process of standing up to drag the trailer up the hill. Rather him than me, and respect if he managed to get the bike let alone the trailer up that hill without busting some major bloodvessel.

Would love to have been a fly on the wall when he was sold that as a combination!

what's wrong with that I have a full suspension mountain bike and a Bob Yak ibex trailer

I think my point was I expected to see some sort of tourer or hybrid, not a child's BSO ridden by an adult.

I use the towpath on the Union Canal fairly often and there's a couple of trailers I see regularly pulled/parked up by cheapo full-sussers. I guess there the trailer is a fairly necessary piece of kit to get stuff to your boat, so is not often pulled by a 'proper cyclist' on a good bike (perhaps similar situation with this guy).
