Kayaking round the fjords of Norway, high altitude mountaineering in the Himilayas or Arctic Adventu

Has anybody had any experience with bses expeditions? I am looking at doing one of these during the summer after A levels and before I go to Uni.

These look ideal....as well as being part of a research project.

Looking at doing something pretty hard with a sense of survival to it, and I am slightly worried these could be a tad tame. Arctic conditions/travelling would hit the spot nicely (race to the southpole anybody?)...any other companies out there doing these kind of expeditions?

(Sorry Noodles if this is in the wrong part of the forums...but it isn't cycling related so I didn't think that this was worthy of the expeditions corner)

I was just thinking this was the perfect type of thread for Cafe - expeditions with bees!

Anyway, I have mellowed recently and rarely bother anymore about what gets posted in Cafe - I know there's no point. But I reckon this is a good Cafe thread for all that it matters.

That Backwoodsman looks pretty cool....cheap also! Would be useful as well. I will certainly look into that to do sometime, but not sure they would quench my thirst for a death defying adventure
