I have a terrible weakness for steak and kidney pudding, with the pastry made with proper beef suet - none of your light rubbish.

Iceland sell Holland's steak and kidney puddings

Never been a fan of doner meat, but you might like them to try one of these next time you're North of the border. (or maybe not)

Brilliant!

He (the owner) limits customers to one a week at his Ruby Chip shop in Glasgow because of “severe health damage”.

Oh yes, you've got me salivating now.

I think my grandmother used to steam/boil these in muslin, but I could be wrong.

Easy enough to make, you just need to set aside an entire day. (this is the easy, meat definitely cooked method)

Take beef and kidney and coat in flour
Put meat into large saucepan with butter in it and seal the meat
Lift out the meat and put in about 2 onions (don't worry if it looks burnt on the bottom of the pan it's meant to be like that)
When the onions are golden return the meat, cover with water and carry on stirring until it comes to the boil and all the burnt bits have come off the bottom of the pan
Leave it to casserole for a couple of hours or until the meat is tender

Make your suet pastry (flour, suet and a couple of tablespoons of water)
Roll it out and line a well greased pyrex pudding bowl, leaving enough pastry to make a lid
Put meat in the pastry and put the lid on and make sure it seals well
Cover the top with greaseproof paper or foil and tie a piece of string around the top of the pudding bowl to make a seal (it is also a good idea to use some string to make a handle at this point)
Put the pudding in a steamer for around 2-3 hours checking it doesn't boil dry every 40minutes or so. If you don't have a steamer put a saucer on the bottom of a large saucepan and place the pudding bowl on top of that and half fill with water

I know it won't be long before the government is empowered to take your kids into care if they catch you eating this stuff, but I've just been and bought a polystyrene box stuffed full of doner meat and chips, with loads of chilli sauce and onions. Absolutely delicious.
Does anyone else have a weakness for things they know are bad for them?
ooohhh yes. Too many to mention, but (apart from the booze) there's tinned ravioli eaten straight from the can, turkish delight and, worst of all, saveloy and chips....

Shahi Naan kebab from the New Kabana in Huddersfield. Large Naan bread, two seekh kebabs, a skewer full of chicken kebab, a skewer of lamb kebab, a huge pile of donner meat, salad, a really good yoghurt sauce and chilli sauce to die for.

Bet you can't eat three.

Greek Gyros is to die for......slurp

Without a doubt. I think it's sad that Gyros shops never seem to have appeared in the UK. A load of gyros (cooked like donor but it is bits of real meat) with a couple of souvlakis, one of the things which I forget what it's called and some chips and you're away.
