Not kebabs but I've just passed the best offer I've seen for a while. A pizza shop in Catford is doing buy one pizza, get two free.

decent kebab shops are sadly a thing of the past. Once upon a time we had about five kebab shops, a couple sold the lowest form of kebab whilst the others had real pride in their product... now there's about 40 kebab shops and they all sell the same crap because pi$$ed up students don't care what they eat as long as it's less than £4.

Remember Essex girl jokes? One of the best, I seem to remember....How do you tell when an Essex girl has an orgasm?

She drops her kebab.

I've never encountered a kebab shop that doesn't.

I now fancy a kebab for my tea.

I have just got back from a run and decided to have a kebab later once I have been out to watch the club 25 mile TT. Handily, one of the best kebab shops for quite some distance is en route home

I used to visit a kebab shop in Turnham Green Terrace, Chiswick, in west London.

Nowt flash, but it was spotless, the salads fresh and crunchy, and the skewered kebabs were as they should be.

I could even eat the doner meat in there - they used to put my portion on the charcoal grill for a minute or two to blitz it and remove some of the fat.

Best kebab I've ever had was a Turkish place that used to be next to Clapham Common station. " Extra chilli sauce my friend ? "
You betcha !!

Head out to Dalston or Green Lanes in that London. Check out any one of the Ocakbasi places and you're guaranteed a decent meal. Bung in a bottle of raki and the jobs a good'un.

I like a decent kebab, but I have eaten cr@p ones too. Sadly, my most local one is pretty cr@p. It will even sell you kebab meat (the doner stuff) without the salad and bread, as most pi$$ed up visitors just drop all that stuff on the pavement anyway.

Yup, I prefer chicken to shish though. Sounds like a weightwatchers meal with a bit of salad on it.

When I was properly dieting that was about the only thing I'd touch if I was desperate for food and we were out. Grilled chicken, salad, pitta bread. What's not to like?

The thing when we were out in the cars as teens in the late 80's was to end up at the kebab place in Strood at around midnight and all get Meat & Chips. Nothing healthy there at all!
