I bought one of the Lidl saddle bags a little while ago and it has just struck me that it is probably not waterproof. Apart from putting the contents in a polythene bag any other ideas for keeping the tools et al dry?
I used to own an Aldi one, and everything inside seems to get soaked.
I would use a thick freezer bag, or thicker plastic bag from parts which have a sealable edge etc - a shopping bag will rip.
Keep an eye out for the Aldi/Lidl specials. I'm sure I've seen drybags on sale at one of them
Alpkit dry bags, extremely good price and do the job well.

Yeah, I found out the Lidl ones weren't waterproof when it was too late. Soggy £20 note rendered pretty much useless.Cost me more than I paid for it.
Cost? Why can't they make them waterproof? It's not like the contents has too breathe.
