for me personally i went down the winter boot route, yes they still let in some water when its really soggy out, but they don't half keep your feet warm, even when they are wet inside

I'm considering a pair of those winter boots now, however they don't come cheap! Will see how these overshoes cope with the rain for now. Naturally its been very dry since wiggle delivered. Not that I'm complaining

I have the BBB Hardwear neoprene overshoes mentioned upthread. They're good for a budget option.

I also have some Sealskinz socks but I've never found them very effective.

Anybody bought something like this? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/gore-bike-wear-road-windstopper-softshell-overshoes/ I'm a fan of high viz be seen be safe, but WWF wrestler springs to mind!

I've got these, they don't go as high up as the pics suggest and I've found them warm enough and they stood upto a 40 min pour down recently.
The only issue is they soon look dirty and the wife thought it hilarious when she saw me wearing them! But she also laughs when she sees me in Lycra!

BBB Aquashield Hardware waterproof overshoes. Nuff said. Been a fan of them for about 7 years. Bought a second pair a year ago, as my others were getting tatty (good enough for mucky MTB commutes)

Just reporting back to say I have now ridden in the cold and light rain from the last few weeks with DHB's extreme weather neoprene overshoes and very impressed with them. Toasty dry toes so far, not sure how much of that is also down to my new full fenders, but as a combo, they are brill!

Gore Bike Wear "Road Overshoes" are made with Gore-Tex and do the job brilliantly for me  Bit pricey but worth it for dry feet at work ;) Hope this helps
