Hi all, hooray spring is here but those nasty little rain showers / downpours are causing me worries! I use strava on my HTC desire and and don't want it to get soaked. I've looked at waterproof bags but they look huge and wouldn't fit in a jersey pocket. Looking for a(very) cheap way to keep phone dry in my jersey pocket. Any suggestions? Cheers in advance for suggestions.

One of those ziplock bag thingies. You've probably received all kinds of stuff in one and then thrown it away. Now you want one you'll not receive one for months!!!

Yup - I'm with you all on the resealable food bags - although beware......my fig rolls somehow got wet in their one at the weekend!

I use zip-lock bags all year as I've read that moisture from sweat can cause problems for smart phones.

There's all sorts of stuff, including the aforementioned freezer bags and ziplock bags and finally, something well known for its ability to as a barrier to liquids, condoms. Your phone might smell strange when you take it out, though it would explain why HTC called it a "Desire".

if sandwich bags are suitable for the multimillion dollar formula 1 teams on their radios in recent weather im sure if will be fine for your mobile as it is for mine.

I usually go for a sandwich bag and my phone sits inside an MP3 woolie sock and touch wood I've had no problem and some of my rides have been in torrential conditions (you get that living in Scotland :rain::cold:) . My Endura softshell also has a waterproof pocket which is reassuring and gilet or waterproof/windproof jacket on top in inclement conditions helps.
