Keo pedals - at what price level are the bearings serviceable?

I'm getting a click from my pedals under load, which I think is coming from the slight play I can detect in the outer bearings in my base level Keo pedals. As you can see from the picture below, the outboard bearings are just plain steel shells pressed into the pedal body with the steel pedal spindle rotating inside them. Is there a price level at which these have real bearings, that are serviceable?

Turns out I'm wrong because I didn't look carefully enough.... inside that metal ring there are actually some needle roller bearings, which all in levels of Keo pedal.
