Off to Keswick this weekend for 1 whole week. Ahhhh what a feeling no work stress for a week..
Had a wash day to day Car, caravan and two bikes.
Looking forward to some decent rides around the Lake District
Hoping for some good weather but it is what it is, that's one thing we can't change..
Now for a well deserved cuppa

hows your climbing legs a great café UP at watendlath http://www.placesinuk.net/watendlath-at-caffle-house-tea-rooms-unmarked its single track road same way out though .....but worth the climb you also get to see ashness bridge also after the bridge poss 1 mile opposite a car park don't miss surprise view ..

I've always dreamed of being able to live in the lakes as it's my personal vision of paradise on earth. Even looked at getting a transfer with work but it didn't happen for various reasons.

My first outing is to have a go at the Honister pass starting from Troutbeck nr Keswick dropping down to Ulswater and back round to Keswick then back to Troutbeck, trying to avoid the A66 were possible...

If I could choose the perfect place to live in England, it would be Bradf.....sorry, Keswick. I love that place but hate you equally for having it for a week! You don't need anyone to carry your bags do you?

Seconded! I based a walking holiday there years ago and really liked it. I always fancied going back with a road bike but only managed a long MTB weekend with lads from work about 5 years later.

Do you mean Kirkstone Pass? Honister's off to the west of Coniston

Sorry meant Kirkstone Pass ..Not looking to blame but its my better half's fault she was talking about Honister Pass.

One thing I do know its gonna be hard...But the decent to Ambleside should be good..
