OK so what are your little treasures after this year, or more importantly "What are they Getting" ?

We've recently got a DS for my daughter, and have another on the way for my son's 8th birthday (he doesn't know as he's asked for a Big Brain Game for his sisters DS).

The Wii has been mentioned on numberous occasions, but with my son getting a DS he'll be more than happy with that. I have ordered one of these special 'multi-carts', that you can use to play music and video's on the DS and also play 'backup' games (ahem...) - 4gb should be enough..... - so that's one pressie.. I'll see this 'special' cartridge is any good, and maybe get another at some point - probably a slightly cheaper/less capacity one).

We've also got a few DS and PSP games for the kids.

There will be some other 'traditional' craft stuff, probably some books etc - my son is into "Horrid Henry".

Just getting to an age where their toys reduce in size a bit..... Lego is still very popular, but we've a stack of it, and my son has decided to re-build a 'town' before Christmas....managed to lose the instructions from last year, so downloaded some from LEGO.

I would not buy a drum kit if you live through the wall from people you don't want to fall out with. Loud just doesn't cover it. You can buy pads to cut the noise down but what's the point? You'd be as well not bothering. They take up a space about six-foot square.

DS for the girl, guitar pedal box thing for middle son and no idea what teen-boy is getting. Probably money.

ipod alarm clock for daughter, some 'cars' building blocks for smallest son (he's still at an age where he's delighted with inexpensive stuff), oldest son we've yet to buy for, but it will undoubtedly involve wall•e or pokemon…

Electric Guitar for the 8 year old.

6 year old wants a "real" drumkit.

But we don't have a garage and live in a 3 bed semi

Surely there's such a thing as an electric drumkit, with headphones? I've often toyed with taking up the violin again, but wouldn't want to inflict in on the neighbours. Alas, the electric ones are rather expensive...

Nephew Oli is getting a Noah's Ark (knitted!), and probably a book as well. But at 16 months, he'll still be too little to really understand Christmas and will probably just enjoy all the fuss from two grannies and his auntie...

My eldest has already had a new bike as the one she had before (to learn on) was too small and also seemed to catch the pedals on the ground at any turn... which wasn't really helping her confidence.. so she had a new one some months ago to continue to practise. She is aware that this was for Christmas though... but it'll be reiterated again no doubt!!

We've also bought her a game for her computer (it's a leapfrog computer, not a 'real' one) to assist her with her spelling/reading and some Lego... but if I'm honest that's probably more for me!!

No idea what to get the youngest - we have a few bits and bobs for her to play with, but as she's only just turned 1 she won't have any idea what all the fuss is about anyway.

He's got a small electronic drumkit bought last year (£30 from Woolies).

But he wants one like the drummer from the Ramones has.

ROCK IT DUDIE!

I'd offer to knit him one, but I'm all tied up trying to finish the Ark...

Mine will probably get some clothes (boy loves Star Wars T-shirts that sort of thing), lego (again the youngest), probably something for the Wii that they had as their main present last year, and watches (I innocently window shopped with them one day whilst waiting for Mr Summerdays). Girls will get some smelly stuff too I guess.

12 year old - manu goalkeeping shirt and socks (shortless cause he wears goalkeeping trousers), plus odds and ends and may be a running watch and Pass the bomb game

10 year old - new tennis racket plus odds and ends and possibly if I can get it cheap cheap cheap mini snooker table off ebay - 99p job! and Globe jigsaw

Guess there'll be a few other bits like books, chocolate, pens and pencils and santa always buys them a box of sugary cereal because they aren't allowed that very often.

We're going to have to get Wii fit and the wii board. If they "ask" me one more time I'm going to explode. And my youngest daughter wants a meatball machine.

My kids are both past school age and they've both suggested we get a 'family Wii' this year instead of buyng each other gifts. All put a bit in the kitty and choose a game or two we think we will enjoy.

Wii Sports and the Wii Fit look faves at the moment, though Mario Kart was such fun on the N64...
