If they get soaked, they will "have to" go home again, to get changed, nice and leisurely - but oh, what a shame - that means they'll miss some school!:rolleyes::wacko: After they were so eager to get in on time this morning as well!

I don't condone it, i.e. wouldn't think to pull the stunt myself but the kids were obviously asking for it, goading drivers to do it.

I hope that the above has the irony mode indicators on it..

Nearly every joke has a "victim". There's not many jokes which can't cause harm to someone.

totally disagree and I can even see humour in an accident where someone has been hurt, ie slapstick. It just ceases to be funny when there is deliberate intent on somebodies part.

It was Rowan Atkinson who I first heard say that all humour has a victim, a few years ago now. There is some which doesn't, but there really isn't much, IMO.

Hmmm, I would guess he'd be including self deprecation in that, in which case it would be correct. But only if you really broaden your concept of victim. Still very different to the actions shown in the video in question.

Undeniably, the idea of victim must be broad and the twat in the car should be hung (what if there was something in the water etc etc).

I was just passing comment on your reference to taking enjoyment from harm done to others, as that is the basis of nearly all humour.

There's the matter of degrees, though.

...out to dry?

another example of humour causing harm, a joke bad enough to be painful

Call me old fashioned but what a complete and utter w*nker.

I agree. I admit I did laugh, it was pretty funny, but a selfish and horrible thing to do. The kids could've spent a long time soaked through on a cold day. Then, when they get home their parents would have wet and dirty clothes to deal with. I'm glad the guy is getting done for it, quite right.

What, from water?

I've had it done as a kid and loved it (Mom or Dad drying me off and getting clean clothes).

I've had it done as an adult and thought FFS, got to go to work etc etc. Get under the dryer and let your peers take the piss.

I hadn't seen the footage till tonight but I've got to say I can't see what the hassle is. It's not like it's sodium hydroxide being chucked over them.
