The article I read suggested that when they've attacked cyclists though it's usually been a man servant on an old British bike, I'm sure I saw it was a clawed butler!

10/10 for effort. ;)

I thought somebody had thrown some heavy sacking or carpet at me but I couldn't see anyone.

He thought someone chucked a carpet at him!?!

We were once "menaced" by a raptor of some kind on the beach in Shanklin. It was on the ground, hopping around. When it saw us, it flew up, and circled round low over our heads. There was something on the beach near to where it had been - possibly its lunch, or a chick. It kept on making low passes until we had got past that particular bit of beach.

When we came back half an hour later, it went through the same behaviour again.

Scary, or what!
